This year, these changes are only for pre-paid, subsidised fares, ie monthly and annual tickets. Changes to other fares will be announced in February 2020, and apply from March 2020.

These fares apply from 1 December 2019, for the 2019 calendar year. Monthly and annual ticket prices will be applied during November for tickets that will be used from December.

Bus Éireann city bus services
Monthly tickets
- Student from €59.50 to €52, a decrease of % 12.6%
Annual tickets (including Tax-saver)
- Adult: from €780 to €770, a decrease of 1.3%
Note that these monthly and annual ticket prices are for the Red Zone - it does not make a distinction between journeys longer or shorter than 7.5km.
Bus Éireann regional, commuter and "stage carriage" buses
There are no fare-changes on any of these services.Other bus companies
Private companies providing city and regional bus services in Limerick do not receive a subsidy, so their fares are not approved by the National Transport Authority, and have not been announced .Some may choose to increase their fares in December, and some at approximately the same time as Bus Éireann.
Iarnród Éireann / Irish Rail - train fare changes
The only train fare changes affecting Limerick are Child tickets on the Intercity services:- Child Zones A, B D, E, F, H, I and L monthly tickets increase slightly: amounts vary between 0.6% and 1.4%.
- Other Child Zone monthly tickets decrease, with zones M-P decreasing by over 10%
